It is no secret that most hair salons in Poland rely primarily on local clients. The industry is not easy. Each client has their "favorite lady/gentleman," and they do not necessarily react well to changes. Hair salons have products they can sell and profit from if clients purchase them. Employees suggest them, but they cannot do so too "insistently" to avoid alienating their clients. The margin they receive is not worth losing a regular client.
Additional services that could bring in higher revenue are not appealing if the salon is located in a small town. After all, one might ask how many people in a town of five thousand inhabitants would want to extend their hair, get botox, or have keratin hair straightening? Not to mention how many people could actually afford it.
We had a client who, like us, liked to go against the grain. She approached us with absolutely no expectations, which is rare in our industry. She said she wanted to give it a try and asked if we had any ideas. We did.
The client offered hair extensions in her portfolio, but as she stated, only once a quarter did someone actually use the service. The problem was that after providing the service, she did not take any photos. The hair she offered to clients was of good quality, not synthetic.
Before launching the campaign, we checked the average prices in the largest town located near her hair salon. The price difference was several hundred złoty. Before starting the advertising campaigns, we asked the owner to find someone to whom she could extend hair and take photos.
We halted further actions for a period of two weeks, as it took that long to provide the photos. After this period, we launched the campaigns.
